Wiki 17 Reflective Practice

He aha te āhuatanga o te arotake i taku mahi whakaakoranga?
I ahu aku mahi arotake i ngā hui ā kaimahi i te kura. Ko ngā kaiako katoa e noho āna kia tirohia ki ngā
painga, ngā mea ohorere me ngā ngoikoretanga. He pai ake te hui tahi me te kōrero mō te wā poto kia
kore e kōtiti ngā kōrero.

I tēnei wā kei te whakamahi mātou te hunga kaiako i ngā arotake ā tuhituhi i te Interlead Appraisal.
Ka kōrero ahau ki ngā kaiako me ngā tamariki ia rā. Inā he raru, ka kimi rautaki kia whakatika. I ētahi wā
ka tuhi ahau i ngā whakaaro engari ehara tēnei i te mahi ia rā.
Ki ōku nei whakaaro, me āhei koe te kōrero ki ngā kaiako e pā ana ki ngā take e whai pānga ana ki ngā
tauira, ngā whānau, me ngā kaimahi o te kura.

I te timatanga o Mindlab, kāore ahau i te whai whakaaro mō ngā mahi arotake.
Inā he raru ka kōrero kanohi ki te kanohi. Inaianei ka rangahau ahau i ētahi rautaki hei hāpai i aku mahi
i te kura- ka whai whakaaro mō ngā kōrero o ētahi atu, kātahi ka whakatinana i ērā kōrero.

Ka pēhea au e whakapakari i taku mahi whakaakoranga?
Kua tirohia au ki tēnei ariā Jay and Johnsons (2002).
Ki ōku nei whakaaro he pai ngā pātai hei whakaarotanga i ngā mahi whakaakoranga.
Heoi, me tirohia mai i ōku whatu Māori.

He tauira anō, inā he tamaiti kāore i te rata ki tōku āhua, ka ngāwari ake tōku āhua.
I ētahi
wā ka tuhia ki te pepa, engari i te nuinga o te wā ka tuhia ki te rae.
Research- He rawe ki au te pānui i ngā rangahau hou hei tautoko i ōku whakaaro.
Retheorizing and Reformulating- Koia nei te wāhanga nui mōku. Me āta wetewete i ngā mahi,
i ngā ariā, ngā rangahau kia whakapakari i roto i ngā mahi whakaako. Kāore au i te mahi i tēnei,
nōreira ka aro au ki tēnei wāhanga.

He kōrero whakakapi

I ahau e pānui ana i ēnei ariā me te whakaaro mō tēneihei mahi, i tirohia ahau ki ahau
anō me te whakaaro Aue!. Kua taka te kapa! Kua whai hua ahau i ngā tuhinga a Finlay (2009).
E kite ana ahau i ngā hua o te tuhituhi i ngā arotake. Ki au nei, me āta whakaaro mō ngā tuhinga
Me whai hua ēnei tuhinga, me whai hua hoki ngā
Nōreira, ko tāku inaianei he whai i ēnei tikanga kia mahia te mahi.

Week 28- Influence of Law and Ethics in Practice

Create a reflective entry where you first identify an ethical dilemma that you either have faced or might face in the future, in your own practice that is linked to digital or online access or activity. This is an interesting topic and in my experience of teaching have seen many scenarios arise, especially before digital citizenship was introduced in school. For the purpose of this activity I will be following Rolfe et al.s’ (2001) reflective model. Step 1 (What): An ethical dilemma that I have faced involved a student, her parents, and a teacher. The teacher involved in the incident was an experienced teacher who taught for many years. The student was upset by the teacher for telling her and two other students quite firmly to go outside as all the other children were playing outside. The student was upset by the way the teacher spoke to her. The student later told her mother that the teacher was being mean to her and that she was a mean teacher. The parent later posted on...

Wiki 18- Future-oriented Learning and Teaching

1. I tēnei wiki ka tirohia ahau ki Theme 1: Personalising learning e ai ki (Bolstad, Gilbert, McDowall, Bull, Boyd & Hipkins, 2012) . Ka whai ngā tamariki i a rātou ake whāinga ako ia rā. He aha tēnei āhuatanga i roto i te akomanga?

Wiki 20-Choosing a topic for your teacher inquiry

Topic Area Blended learning models and student engagement I would like to focus on a blended learning model and how that impacts on student engagement. I have found it difficult to engage students in my new entrant classroom (Māori immersion), with little reo Māori. I think it is important to provide an inclusive environment at kura, however, it is difficult when there is a language barrier to hook those students into the mahi.
